DhirajChaudhari Posted August 19, 2020 Report Posted August 19, 2020 My I-797 is approved till March 2022, My visa appointment cancelled due to covid which was scheduled on 28th March. I am applying stamping for same employer, same position and my designation is Manager. My kids are USA citizen and their school started there. I got bonafide document from school on school letter head, along with welcome letter from school which i attached to expedite visa appointment last week. I haven't received any response from consulate yet. Should I ask them the status by sending email on "support@ustraveldocs.com" or should i wait for their response? Will my appointment request get approved? please advise. Quote
gopalakrishnach Posted August 20, 2020 Report Posted August 20, 2020 Eventhough you send email you may get either automatic reply or some mail which might not give any specific details. Moreover children school I do not think qualify as an expediate reason. Quote

You will have to apply for the emergency stamping at the time of PA they will decide if you case qualify or not untill then onus is on the applicant to determine if there case qualify for emergency.I hope that helps.
