vnd007 Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 Hi, I've had both H1B extension (Emp.A) & H1B transfer (Emp.B) filed. My transfer got approved and the extension is still pending. However, transfer to Emp. B got approved one day after the current visa expiration with Emp.A. Though the extension with Emp.A is still pending, my I-94 is valid for additional 10 days and got this approval within I-94 validity. If I switch to Emp.B, do I need to go out of the country for stamping ?. Please advise with your knowledge / experience. Thank you ! Quote
Zodiac System Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 Does your Approval have an I-94 date mentioned at the bottom of the page? If you have one, then no need to go out of country for stamping. (When you leave the country and return, your I-94 number and sometimes even the I-94 dates change. Always make sure that your passport has enough days before expiry, to accommodate the I-94 validity). Let us see what other experts say Quote
gopalakrishnach Posted August 11, 2020 Report Posted August 11, 2020 Transfer to Emp. B got approved --- does this have new I94 attached? Is it consular approval. If I94 attached then no need to go out of country if not I feel yes. Please consult Emp B on this. I feel they can help you out. Quote
vnd007 Posted August 11, 2020 Author Report Posted August 11, 2020 Thank you Zodiac System & Gopalakrishnach. I have not received the approved notice yet. Thank you very much, I didn't know that the receipt will have I-94 attached to it. I'll check it when I receive the notice. Quote
gopalakrishnach Posted August 12, 2020 Report Posted August 12, 2020 Your petitioner/attorney will get approval not you. Please contact them. Quote
