satget Posted July 10, 2020 Report Share Posted July 10, 2020 Hello, I have been laid-off due to covid-19 and 60 days grace period is going to be end on July 25th.. My employer asked me to submit change of Status to B2 Visa. My question is, 1) After submission of COS B2 Visa, if I would get any jobs, can I file H1 application immediately to get back the status to H1.. what's the process to change the status? (My H1B visa is valid up to Aug6th 2020) 2) What would happen and risk if not filed change of status to B2 after grace period ends on July 25th? Couldn't able to depart now as no flight services.
