Dan1190
I am on H1B and got laid off in December 2020. My 60 days grace period expires on 20th Feb. I will file the i 539 change of status form for changing from H1B to H4 (dependent visa on basis of spouse H1B) and the applicaiton will reach USCIS on 14th feb. If i dont receive the USCIS receipt number by 20th feb, do i have to leave US or i can still stay without going out of visa status? Quote Link to comment
Vinayprirajin84
the easiest way instead of all this is... go to stamping and enter back. without any tensions. dont know about other financial and other issues(kids school) related here for your case. User099
You can use the Fedex receipt number as proof that you filed your application on time. Some people use this option (I don't like it), but this should be the LAST resort. Quote Link to comment
