If I am hired in U.S. but spend more than a year outside U.S. as Executive, do I qualify for EB1?

I was hired in my current company in U.S. 2 years ago and now they want me to send to U.K. as we acquired a new company in U.K. for some time and it could be close to 1 year.

If I spend 1 year outside U.S. as executive/manager, do I qualify for EB1? I don't want to spend 1 year in U.K. leaving my family here unless I get something in return.

My priority date is 2016 and I am from backlogged country.

You should be, if your employer is willing to process your case in eb1.

Yes, you are eligible. Your current employer should process your case as an International Manager, where, after your deputation for atleast 1 year outside US in a managerial role, you should return to US and continue to be in the same role when filing under EB1C.
