Seema Bhange Posted January 9, 2020 Report Share Posted January 9, 2020 Hello, I am currently on my OPT STEM extension which is valid till 2021. I have approved H1b with counselor notification. My employer is asking me to get my H1b stamped at the end of 2020 as the compensation on my approved H1b is higher than my current. They promised to give me a raise in 2020 fall so I can get H1b stamped by the end of 2020. I have to to travel to India in February for some family emergency. My employers says that I can travel and return back to US on my student visa. I want to know if this travelling on student visa will cause any problems during my H1b stamping? Thanks in advance!
