Sri1012 Posted December 25, 2019 Report Share Posted December 25, 2019 I got my visa transfer approved. I am yet to join the new company (B). My wife's current I94 is expiring on Jan 8th (H4). I have filed H4 extension with the current company. Yet to file H4 extension for my wife with the company B. I need advise on filing H4 extension and H4 EAD with company B. * Can I do H4 ext and H4 EAD together? * What will be wait time that I should expect? * Is it advisable to travel out of country (to Canada) to do the stamping - will this help anyway in getting the EAD? User099 Posted December 30, 2019 Report Share Posted December 30, 2019 1. Yes 2. 5-6 months 3. Getting stamping is quicker if you don't want to wait or have any travel plans. But it will not have any impact on EAD processing times. I would spend the filing fees on flight ticket to home country and enjoy some time with family back home. Quote Link to comment
