Change of consulate for consular processing

Hello,

My First H-1B got approved under consular processing. At the time of filing, my attorney has chosen consular processing location as Mexico. Now, can I go to India for my H-1B Stamping or do I need to only go to Mexico?

I heard that I can not go to Mexico for my first H-1B Stamping. So, I'm not sure whether I can go India and get the stamping done without any issues or not.

You can go to India even if attorney mentioned Mexico in I129.
