H1 Amendment for Client Location

Hi Team,

I moved to a client location in May 2019 to work from their office which is different from my H1B base location. My initial contract with the client was from Mid May 2019 till Mid Dec 2019. I filed H1B amendment case for the same duration and location. Now my client has extended my contract till the end of April 2020 and informed me during the same time when my initial contract was about to complete (Mid Dec 2019). We decided to file a new H1B amendment case for my extended contract but I received RFE for my H1B amendment case during the same time.

1. Now my question is can I file a new case while submitting the RFE documents for first amendment? 
2. If not, can I continue working while I am submitting RFE document and preparing for new case after RFE. (It might take some time i.e end of January 2020)
