H1 extension in progress but H4 & existing H4 EAD remains valid as per latest H4 I-797 & EAD card- Is this good enough for H4 EAD person to continue working

Looks like i have a unique situation..

I had my H1 approved till 9/08/2020 (I-94 also matched this date on my previous I-797) and so was my wife's H4 & I-94 validity. Based on this i also got my I-140 approval and subsequently a H4-EAD was also approved for my wife with validity till 9/08/2020. She is currently working based on this H4 EAD.

As a new development - a pending location Amendment filed on 01/18/2018 finally was approved on 11/08/2019 but while doing so my H1 validity was updated by USCIS to 01/08/2020 and my new I-94 will expire by 01/18/2020 as mentioned in my new I-797. So my employer is rushing to file an H1 & H4 extension this week.

The question is:

Could my wife continue to work on her H4 EAD (as her EAD, H4 & I94 has validity till 9/08/2020) and also a petition for her H4 extension will be submitted along with my H1 extension (before my H1 expires). Does this give her the required legal status to continue her work based on the EAD, I94 & H4 expiry date as mentioned in her latest I-797 & the EAD Card itself.
