sgr90
My H-1B got approved till Dec 31, 2019. My current employer (A) is going to file for an extension, but my client is only going to extend the project for 6 months, so in all probability my extension is going to be approved till Jun 2020 as well. I have a potential employer (B) who is willing to file my H-1B transfer before 31st Dec and that will be for a long time project. I will have to travel to India in January due to personal reasons, and hence I will have to get my Visa stamped once it's approved before I can fly back to the US. Is it fine if A files extension, and at the same time B files transfer? Can there be any issues during Visa approval or stamping process? Quote Link to comment
User099
Best thing will be to get your Extension approved with A before you go for stamping. Then come back and have B file for a transfer. I will not advice you to travel while you H1 extension or transfer is pending. Quote Link to comment
