sw19sa27aa21 Posted December 4, 2019 Report Share Posted December 4, 2019 Was working full time on H1b and job ended on Aug 30th (employer most likely revoked my H1b on the same day) as we relocated to a new city. Applied COS to H4 and H4 EAD in Sept 2019. Biometrics were completed on Oct 23rd, 2019. Looks like there is a slow down in the approval of H4 and EAD and based on timelines posted by others it sounds like I may not get the EAD until March, 2020. I am actively looking for jobs and may get an offer soon. 1. Can the new employer file for H1b transfer with H4 status change still in process? 2. If yes to Q1, can I join the job on H1b transfer receipt? My H1b extension was filed earlier this week and was approved until July, 2021. Quote Link to comment
