h1b - working on extension receipt number

My petition is expired on 06-30-2019 and my extension is filed in May 2019 by my current employer.

As per h1b immigration laws - if i clear an interview for a new job now, will the new employer will file for my amendment and extension? or the new employer will say that my current petition is already expired so cannot file for amendment and extension until my current extension with my current employer is approved.?

New employer can file for your amendment and extension but it will most likely have to be in consular processing. If you don't want consular processing they can file for extension, but will have to tie it current employer extension which is risky.
