seema3982
Hi All I have my current H1B approved until June 2021 with the title as Tech Lead. I was promoted to Engineering Manager after my H1 was approved. I will be travelling to India in dec and will be going for stamping in mumbai. 1. Do I need to file amendment in H1B? My roles and responsibilities are still the same with just added responsibility of managing members, hriring etc. I am still hands on and write code. 2. If I file amendment now and the approval doesnt come in before i go for stamping is that ok?Can i still get my stamping based on current 797? Please advice Regards Quote Link to comment
User099
For a layman like me, Lead to manager is a big shift and warrants an amendment. Quote Link to comment

Please advice Regards If you are a full time employee of a big client they should have filed the amendment immediately. Title changes are very important. Try to file amendment in premium. Always better to be 100% sure rather than taking a chance and ending up with 221G and waiting. Quote Link to comment

LOL It clearly needs amendment. The gentleman last post was in 2013 and I wish he/she respected the people's time who replied by simple acknowledgement.. sad... Quote Link to comment
