VeluParu
I am working in L2 EAD status for an employer for two years and my employer processed my H1B on Apr 2019. I got my RFE and submitted the document to USCIS on Nov 15, 2019 and I hope I will get the status in two weeks as my premium clock has already been started on Nov 16, 2019. I would like to know the following details: My L2 EAD is valid till Feb 2020 and my spouse L1 is valid till Apr 2020, however I would like to change the status from L2 EAD to H1B as soon as I get the approval from USCIS. Please let me know the process to change my status. Should that be done by my employer or by me? How long would it take to change the status? If I change the status, should I need to go out of country for H1B stamping immediately? Or can I continue working with change of status and do the stamping the next time when I go to my native country? I am looking forward to hearing from you and really appreciate your response on this! Thanks in advance! Quote Link to comment
JoeF
If the H1 was filed as a change you status you automatically are in H1 status when the H1 gets approved. Quote Link to comment
