Biometrics for N400 during Thanksgiving Holiday

Hello:

I received my biometric appointment for N-400  (application for naturalization), today which is scheduled for 29th Nov, which is the day after Thanksgiving, Black Friday. I did not anticipate that my appointment would be during the Thanksgiving Holidays and I have my travel plans and have already booked the flights. Is there any way I can do a walk-in before the appointment date and will that be allowed?

The notice does provide at the bottom, the option to reschedule, but also warns of delays in the process. So, I am a bit confused.

Any suggestions will be highly appreciated.

Try a walk-in before that day. Use your charm with the lady at the desk and offer to wait as long as necessary and you might be surprised. If no joy, postpone the Biometrics and be aware you may not be naturalized in time to be able to vote.

They did the same for me. I changed my travel plans.

You can try a walk-in, but they may reject you if they are too busy.

Thank you for your replies.  I did a walk-in and they accepted me without any issues.
