My employer filed H1B this june and got it lotteried and also approved in consular processing. Now since it is consular processing, I am hearing different things about locations. I only have a month pending now. Please tell me If I have to go "Only India" for getting it stamped? Because I dont have choice of staying as I dont have new I94 due to consular processing. Or can i do it any other place other than india? (Though there is no available appointments in canada) Or can I do Change of status by any means? Thanks! Quote Link to comment

You might have to check with the consulate which you plan on going to and if they accept change of status applications for Third country nationals. Quote Link to comment
