Confirmation on shortened validity date for visa stamping in India

Hello experts, I received 3 year extension on EVC model in 2018 March. Last month employer responded for RFE of amendment petition for new client project in EVC model. Approval received now has visa valid date till end of 2019 which is 1.5 years less than my previous extension valid date. If I visit a consulate in India before end of this year, it is my understanding that they would provide visa stamping till end of 2019 as per latest i797. Some people are saying since it is an amendment, consulate would consider the end date of the extension I received last year which is May 2021. I wanted to seek help from the experienced members here. Please confirm or educate me on the valid period end date. Thank you.

The latest action prevails. Your new petition is valid until the end of 2019. So your visa will be in line with the petition validity date.

That is wrong. Your latest amendment petition is till Dec 2019. You will get visa till that date only.
