97sid
Hi, I researched the question with conflicting views and with information from way in the past. Things have changed a lot in current times (2019) I am planning to book an H4-Visa interview appointment for my to be wife. I will set the interview date well after the wedding date and will carry all required documentation. I am just concerned about the "Marital status" that I should input in the form. As of today I am single but as of the interview appointment date I will be married with legal proof, but don't know what's right? Please suggest. Quote Link to comment

On the day of interview and finger printing you will be married and that should be reflected on DS-160. Lot of folks do that. Quote Link to comment
97sid
Hi, My wife successfully received her visa. I had also confirmed with the customer care pre-appoinment and they had confirmed that - 'I should mention "married" on the form as far as my interview is after the wedding date and I shall have the marriage certificate then'. so whoever is wondering the same question, information on ds-160 should be accurate on the day of interview. Thanks hope it helps somebody. Quote Link to comment
