My employer has terminated me (Sep 2nd) due to company's cost cutting measures, however I did receive paycheck on Sep 13th and Sep 30th. I was also due for severance, and now HR is saying, we will subtract the amount from these 2 checks and give you the balance. Reason was that they forgot to remove me from Workday in early sept. They did it on Sep 30th. 2 question: 1. Who notifies USCIS about the layoff, my employer OR Workday sends a notification once the employer adjusts in workday? 2. If the employer removed me from the system on Oct 1st, does my 60 day grace period starts from there or Sep 2nd?
