According to our plan - she will arrive in US on October 9th 2019 and return on March 31st 2019. However when we are trying to book the tickets in Air India - we get a message "Passport should be valid for 6 months from commencement of travel". What is the rule about Passport Validity ? Should it be valid for atleast 6 months beyond the intended date of return (i..e March 31st ) or should it be valid for the duration of the stay. I did some research online and found a rule that India is a part of 6 month Club. So passport should be valid for the duration of the stay ? Given my scenario, would it be okay to book tickets till March 31st or should we make sure that when she returns she has atleast six months of Passport Validity. Quote Link to comment
