H4 Extension for Child

My H1b Extension is due in couple of month and submitting documents to my employer for review.

for H4 Extension,

1. My wife is on F1 stamped visa and her H4 is still active. Her stamping was done on F1 while entering USA and previous H4 Stamping is already expired.

2. I have 2 kids 8 (India born ) and 4 (USA born).

Need to file extension H1b and H4 extension. My question are below,

1. Can i file H4 Extension for my Wife along with my elder kid without impacting my wife's F1?

2. Or I can file H4 extension for elder kid only. If yes, then i have to fill in i539a only? Since he can't apply by his own and I will be the prepare for him.

1. Your wife can be only on 1 active status F-1 or H-4. Both cannot be active at same time. When she entered on F-1 her H-4 is gone.

You need to file Change of status for your wife, not extension if you want her to convert to H-4 status.
