H1B stamping needed with i-94 valid till Feb 2020?

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I have a quick question about H1B stamping and below are my details.Planning travel to India in couple of months (may be November 2019)

1. Company A - I have a valid stamping (passport) with i-94  expiring Feb 2020 (old company 797)
2. After job change. Now working for Company B since last month with new  H1B transfer petition  start date 30th Jul 2019 and is valid till 29th July 2022 (new 797).

Question 1:  Do i need to go for stamping  with new I-797 company B ?
Question 2:  Can enter US with just old valid i-94 without stamping?
Question 3:  Can i go for stamping explicitly with new petition with change of employer -  is considered for Dropbox eligible?

Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

1. Not needed. You can use your old employer stamping.

2. If you go out of country after Feb 2020 you need stamping.

3. Yes.
