Karthik707
Hello, I have completed my first master's degree from one of the unaccredited university and I have got only one year of OPT for that. So I have enrolled in a new program for Second Masters with day 1 CPT. Now I am about to finish this Second Masters in the next two months. So My question is whether I am eligible for H1b Masters Quota? Quote Link to comment

GCoder
Yes. As long as the new program is accredited and from a reputed university. However, since you already used up opt and now you are on day 1 cpt, you might have trouble with maintenance of f1 status which may affect h1b approval. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
No real university does CPT from day 1. This looks like a shady institution most likely for-profit. A degree from such an institution can not be used for the H1 Master's quota. Only degrees from accredited, public or non-profit private universities can be used for the Master's quota.
