VISA extension

Hello,

 

i know now we can apply for H1B extension 6 months prior.

am I eligible to apply the extension 6 months before the 

 

1. Visa expiration date

2. I797 date

or 3. I94 date?

 

My I 94 date expiration is a month before the visa/ i797 date.

I guess your employer can answer this. I feel I94 date.
