H1B interview in a different consulate

Hi, I have been approved for cap exempt H1B. This is my 1st H1 interview. I have not yet filled DS 160. Can I schedule my interview in a different consulate than the one mentioned on I 797?

Hi Mrinal,

Whats your experinece here? i'm in the same boat, on my I797 it mentioned consulate mentioned as Mexico, but I'm planning to take interview in India. 

Any information that you could share would be greatly appreciated?
