Soumya Mahapatra Posted April 3, 2019 Report Posted April 3, 2019 Hello. Actually, last year during the summers, I had been to the University of Southern California (USC) as a visiting scholar and I had been issued an I-20 Form from USC which was valid only for the duration of the summer program. Subsequently, I had applied for an F1 VISA last year and I had been issued one which is valid through April 2023. I will be joining USC for my PhD in Fall 2019 and for the PhD Program, they have issued me a new I-20 Form with a new SEVIS number. Therefore, I wanted to know if I am required to re-apply for a fresh F1 VISA with my new I-20 or will my previous VISA be valid for my entry into the United States.
