Hello,

I have applied the H4 and H4-EAD concurrently, the status shows of my I-765 processed new card,But H4 status I-539 is still pending.

Can i start working as soon as i get new EAD card , Irrespective of H4 Extension ?

Please advice !!

Yes, you can start once you receve the card in your hand. Lot of times this happens that H-4 EAD status gets updated before H-4. Practically USCIS cannot issue you a H-4 EAD until your H-4 is approved. So it is safe to assume that your H-4 is also approved.

H4 EAD cannot be approved until H4 is approved. I was in a similar situation earlier this month, I received my H4 EAD card but my COS was still showing "Case was received' status online. I called USCIS and they confirmed that H4 was already approved and it may take a couple of more days to update status online. I received my approval notice the next day in the mail. My case status is still showing "received status" online (after 3 weeks)

I would recommend you to call USCIS and check for status on your COS.
