My current Project data is just 2 months from now even though it will be extended later

Hi all, I am currently on stem OPT and I am applying for H1 this year, I am working as a consultant to a reputed organization from 18 months, my current project is till may 6th, my manager informed that it will be extended but both client letter and PO will reflect the above mentioned date, that means by the time my petition is under review, documents submitted will be expired, as this year there is no RFE process, will my petition be declined and if so, will be helpful if anyone could suggest me alternatives. Thank you!

The company which is applying your H1B application will help you in this. Talk to them. May be in your client letter try to have a sentence like below if your project is really going to get extended,

This is a long-term project which will run for at least X years and can be further extended based on budget availability
