harish411 Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 Hello, Wondering if anyone can help me with a quick question. I am in IL now and trying to move to VA. I work remote so my employer doesn't care where I work from.. But my labor (H1B) and Perm (Priority Date Sep 2016) are filed with my IL home address. I understand that I have to refile my H1 and PERM from beginning just for change of address which is sad. My H1B is for renewal in Feb 2021. During that time, can I just provide the VA address and move without touching the PERM? At the current rate, PERM will take forever. When my application is current and if i am with same employer, I can probably rent a place in IL for that time for IL address. Or what options do i have? Please let me know. Would really appreciate you timely help on this.
adshah84 Posted February 25, 2019 Report Posted February 25, 2019 Your PERM has nothing to do with your location.
gopalakrishnach Posted February 26, 2019 Report Posted February 26, 2019 As for as I know and in my case, you need to just amend/extend your H1B. No need to touch I140. Please consult experts/attorneys..

gopalakrishnach Posted March 1, 2019 Report Posted March 1, 2019 In my case after my I140 I changed places and my employer never did amendment to it.. didnot touch I140 at all.
