My H1B approved and there is wage rate issue in the LCA. Can the amendment be done now?

My H1B is approved with following details in LCA. Wage Rate 139k and Prevailing wage as 85k. My employer is saying that the 139k rate was by mistake and need to find amendment for pay rate 86k.

1) Will the amendment be approved for decrease in wage rate to 86k from 139k?

2) Do we need an amendment even though I'm getting paid over prevailing wage?
