newacct Posted February 1, 2019 Report Share Posted February 1, 2019 To petition a child born out of wedlock where you are the father, and where the child was not legitimated before turning 18 according to the local laws, requires you to prove that you had a bona-fide father-child relationship with the child before the child turned 21. Things like you provided support to the child and held the child out to be your own. It sounds like it would be very hard to do that in your case. You would also need to explain why you did not disclose the child when naturalizing. Link to comment
