Petitioning illigetimate child (>20 years old) without my wife's support

Can I petition my child who is more than 20 years old and...

> not declared when I naturalized as a US citizen

> my child from an earlier relationship (not married to child's mom)

> my wife not supportive of the plan to petition my illegitimate child

 

I will appreciate all inputs and suggestion how to go with the petition and if I have a case.

To petition a child born out of wedlock where you are the father, and where the child was not legitimated before turning 18 according to the local laws, requires you to prove that you had a bona-fide father-child relationship with the child before the child turned 21. Things like you provided support to the child and held the child out to be your own. It sounds like it would be very hard to do that in your case. You would also need to explain why you did not disclose the child when naturalizing.
