mukul gupta
I am currently working and have valid L1(B) visa till Dec 2019 but i am enrolling in Masters program starting Jan 2019 .I am in process of getting I-20 from my university so assuming I am filing for COS in mid OCT 2018 . 1.) What are the chances of getting COS approved before Jan 2019 ? 2.) If i resign from my current company in December 2018 ,shall i able to stay in US as i have valid L1 visa till Dec 2019 and COS status is pending ? Any suggestions what should i do ? Link to comment
pontevecchio
1. Based on anecdotal reports, NONE. 2. The basic premise of a COS is that you need to be in legal status when the status changes. Hence, No. You should get yourself a F1 visa. Also make sure you are enrolling in a half way decent college.
