r2i2sell2011
I worked in US for over 11 years on H1. Left US in 2012. I have an approved i140 and my priority date is current. I'm thinking of going back to US now and hope to file i824 and convert my application to CP. However, the attorney who used to handle my case is not responsive. Either they forgot me or misplaced my file since it's over 7 years since I contacted them. Is there a way to switch attorney and go ahead with filing i824? I have the original i140 and copy of the application form sent for it. Do I need any document or information from my old attorney? Link to comment
pontevecchio
Is the job for which the PERM etc. was filed available? Link to comment
JoeF
Does the original employer still have the job available for you? CP requires a current job offer letter, notarized, from the employer who filed the I-140. The employer would also have copies of the paperwork. Link to comment
r2i2sell2011
I have been working freelance for the company in US. So the job is still available if I show interest. Link to comment

pontevecchio
https://in.usembassy.gov/visas/immigrant-visas/ This page will answer any queries you may have. First ask the GC sponsors for their intentions. Then have them send an employment verification letter. You should not be involved in telling them the format. Link to comment
r2i2sell2011
My i-140 was approved in 2008. Is it still safe to use it for filing i-824 and restart my GC process? Link to comment
