chak ramgl Posted September 19, 2011 Report Share Posted September 19, 2011 Hi,I am on L1 visa. Visa date is expired but my I-94 is valid up to Aug 2012. In Aug 2011, I married a US citizen and my wife has now applied I-130 and I-485 for me( in Missouri Service Center). I received a letter from USCIS acknowledging the receipt of the I-130 form. I did not receive any such thing for I-485. Its more than 30 days since we applied. How long does it take to complete the whole process of getting a GC? When can I go to my home country India? ( as we both are hosting a reception there in Nov '11) After what stage can I start looking for Job ( as I intend to leave the present company). Please help me get an idea about these and any other things that you think may help me. Link to comment
