gautham13 Posted March 9, 2018 Report Share Posted March 9, 2018 I am considering change of employer and have a question regarding the I-140 priority date porting requisites. I have an approved I-140 with my current employer. Also, I have crossed the 6 month time rule with the same employer after I-140 approval and obtained an extension past the 6 years limit. In order to port the current priority date when the new employer files the I-140, is there a relationship between SOC Code under which the current I-140 was filed and the H1-B / I -140 category under which the new employer would file in future?
