Change of Job Responsibilities while on H1

Hello,

I am on H1b which got approved this year and I am currently a java developer in a firm with certain job responsibilities.

I got  a new position in the same firm which works on Big Data Technologies with similar job responsibilities. It is located in the same building but different floor. If I take up the new position, will it be a problem during H1 extension?

Is it recommended to shift to a new job? Please assist me.
