sasidharan K
If my job in h1 visa is ending on mar 14 and my currently employer informs uscis immediately, I heard we have 60 days to find a new job or visa transfer. Is that true and when will I be out of status, is it after 60 days ? If I stay within that 60 in US will it impact my GC process in future. Quote Link to comment
JoeF
There is a grace period for 60 days or until the I-94 expires, whichever is shorter. During that time you are legal. Quote Link to comment
NotAnAttorney
After 60 days of your last day in the job, you will be out of status. You can find a new employer within 60 days, and have that employer file H1B petition within these 60 days, to overcome being out of status. Quote Link to comment

eager77
JoeF, it will be helpful if you give your input on my case. I have a kind of similar situation. I got laid off in June 2017 from employer A. My I-94 with employer A is still valid till July 2018. I have transferred from employer A to B in august 2017. Upgraded to premium and I got rfe in transfer which yet to be replied. Mean while another employer C is willing to file my transfer. If I file transfer with C in normal processing and join them before my rfe with employer B is replied. My question is if transfer with B is denied, then can I still continue work with C as C has filed my transfer before denial and I started working for them?
