Status: Name was Updated

Hi,

In my lifetime, I applied for the first time H1B. Got picked in lottery on April 2017. Here is the journey so far. 

04-April-2017: Case was Received.

01-August-2017: Request for Evidence.

27-October-2017: Response to USCIS Request was Received.

01-November-2017: Name was Updated.

 

After this it has been 109 days, I did not receive the status yet. I tried to reach my employer who had filed my petition for me. They informed that it did not approve. But the status in the USCIS website still shows "Name was Updated". 

When I followed up with jemployer, they informed that my case was not approved. When I asked for the evidence as why my petition was not approved. They replied as due to wage level which I was offer as 70,000$. 

I am somehow still not convinced by the response from my employer. I am also still not clear whether I received second RFE. If I would have received second RFE, why did the status remained unchanged?

Is there any chance, that can directly get in touch with the attorney who have filed my petition.

Can someone help me and understand why, where and what might have gone wrong?

Name was updated do not refer to a RFE.

You can contact your attorney's office if you who it is, but not sure if they would respond to your queries, it all depends on the the agreement b/w your employer and the attorney.
