H1B Visa transer

Hi Team,

I have initiated the H1B visa by a Consultancy in India in 2016. H1B visa was picked in the lottery on Apr 2016. 
I have my H1B Approval I-797 document with me.
Due to some delay at the consultancy end, I did not book the slot for the Visa Interview. 
I work in an MNC company in India and I wish to transfer the H1B to my current company.
Please let me know the process, charges and the duration involved.

may i know which technology you are working on and what is the experience you have gained ( years of exp), before i answer you question ?

Firstly there have been rule changes affecting your ability to get a new H1 sponsor without having worked for the initial sponsor or having got a visa stamp for that sponsor. Secondly since they are supposed to pay, why should it matter.

@Radha, I have total 12.5 years of experience. I am working on Identity and AccessManagement (CA IDM, Sailpoint) technologies.

@pontevecchio, Who are supposed to pay and what would be the amount ?

The company should pay for the H1 petition and associated fees.

The company has to pay for all of the H1 fees, and they can't ask it back from you. So the amount is irrelevant for you.

If the company isn't experienced in this, they should consult with an immigration lawyer.

What would be the duration for the H1B transfer, the H1 petition, etc. by the current Company ?
