Vijay murugan
Hello team, I want to know if will get an extension if my i40 is approved beyond my 6th year h1b visa expiry.? Also will the employer have to file an extension separately after I-140 approval and will it be approved beyond the 6th year. Is it advisable to stay for some days beyond 6th year h1b to get these approvals. Quote Link to comment
care_candidate
Vijay, People waiting for Green Card stay on H1b for very long time. I heard stories up to 20 years. You have to stay that way till your priority dates becomes current. Having I-140 approved is the condition to be satisfy to get extension beyond 6 years. Welcome to the club! Quote Link to comment
