Can I go for VISA Stamping while H1 Amendment is in process ?

Hi Sir

Recently moved back to india while my H1 amendment is in process.Amendment is for change in job code only as new location is with in 2 miles. As i have a valid H1b petition till Aug-2018 can i go for stamping without waiting for amendment approval ?

If i got stamped will there be any queries at POE

Please suggest

1. Yes, assuming you would work per conditions approved in your H1B petition.

2. If the amendment gets approved before you arrive in USA, and if the officer gets into details he might question you about the details.

As long a syou have reasonable answers that should be okay.

Thanks for the reply....but only change is in job title for which i filed for amendment...so still can i go for stamping with my earlier approved petition

So while filing DS160 Form for VISA interview i need to stick to my old petition job code right ? , will Visa officer come to know if i had already amendment + extension in progress ? if he so will there be any problem at the time of interview ?
