getting fired in between h1b processing

I have a query, I am in F1 - OPT, My employer is filing LCA for h1b next week February 1st week, my employer will send the package to USCIS on April 1st, so what will happen if I got fired on April 2nd week or mid of may/June? WIll I go out of status, I am not trusting my employer as they promised h1b last year and did not file and this year, I am just precautious if they want to use me and send me out.

Could you please help me out in my case?
