h3lpme
I am permanent resident, My current situation a. I have credit card debt b. Civil case - My lawyer filed against me since I am making small payments. I have paid my lawyer majority of the cost. Pending balance, I am paying by making small payments based on my resources and debts c. Alimony - I have paid for alimony for 70% percent of the duration, about an year is pending. I have made all attempts and tried to pay off all in good faith in last 3 years. But I do not see an end to it. How can I stop all of it. What happens to above 3 points if leave the country and return after couple/few of years ? 1. Will the credit card debt be held against me 2. will there be someone at POE to arrest me for civil case ? 3. what happens to alimony. Any implications on my permanent residency Any risks Any solutions Link to comment
pontevecchio
The civil debt will only ruin your credit if you do not pay. The Alimony is the kicker. They take these things VERY seriously and this could land you in hot water. Are you saying your own lawyer is owed money by you? Post in the FICO forums in the appropriate section and you will get tons of help. Link to comment

Yes My own lawyer, I have paid my lawyer 75% of he cost so far, and the balance I am paying in small amounts because I do not have funds. My own lawyer knows my situation. Is there any other help ?
