kchugh
Hello Everyone, I have a bit of a concern regarding my I-485 application (concurrent filing). The place of birth in my passport is wrong and to get my I-485 application in as soon as possible, because my H1B was going to expire, I submitted my I-485 application with a different (correct) place of birth. In the meanwhile I am getting the place of birth on my passport fixed. My new passport, with the correct place of birth, should be in within a month. I am not sure if this will cause an issue with my application. Once I get my new passport how do I let USCIS know about my passport situation? Any advice would be helpful! Link to comment
vinodhts
As long as you keep the same in passport you are good. If you dont have Birth Certificate go and get 2 certificates First one saying Birth Certificate not found from municipality Based on first one they can issue a new Birth certificate .there make sure you keep it as in your passport.
