satyamnityam
Hello sir/madam, H1B, 9 + years working through the same consulting company, 140 approved, H1B amendment approved, planning to visit India for H1B stamping in person. Was married in India and got divorce in USA (both attended the court proceedings in USA), my X filed false cases back in India (498a dowry harassment case) Questions:- 1) While filing DS 160 I will be mentioning marital status as divorced, however there is a place where they are asking the reason for divorce. What should I mention in there? Should I provide them all the details or mention what is on the divorce papers? 2) Would the visa officer ask question related to my divorce, do you suggest that I carry those papers to the visa interview? 3) The false cases in India, would that effect my visa issuance in any way? Any other suggestions and advises are highly appreciated. Please advise. Satyam Link to comment

pontevecchio
The fact that you got a visa is good news. Other than that just move on. Link to comment
