H4 EAD extension

Hello,

My husband's I140 based H1 B extension has been submitted in October. My H4 extension and associated EAD extension was filed separately in mid November. I believe my documents will be processed only after my husband's. So there is a risk that by March 10th 2018 (when EAD expires) - I won't have my extension. Is there any way to expedite my processing - for ex. me traveling to India for a stamping, etc.?

 

2. Assuming, my extension does not take place by March 10th, can I continue to be employed but be on a leave of absence (unpaid)? What other options can I suggest to my employer?
