H1B Extension Filed but not yet approved can I start a transfer and start working with Reciept.

My I-94 expired on Sept 4th but my H1B extension was filed by my employer on July 31st with Vermont and I'm my case is still pending. I have got a offer with another company B and they ready to start the transfer with my Extension Reciept. can i start working with the company B. Please advise.

If your I-94 expired, its not advisable to file transfer. Upgrade current extension to premium. While waiting for the decision, Prepare all the documents and LCA for transfer.

If extension is approved, you can file for transfer in premium.

If extension is denied, you can still file for transfer in premium with consular processing (you'd have to go to India to get stamping and come back)
