H4 EAD to H1

Hi,

My wife is on H4 EAD and looking for a job. With recent update on EAD if she cannot work on EAD let’s say after a year, can she move to H1? ( she was on H1 with around 5 years used before she converted to H4 post having baby). And can she start her GC process if this is possible? How difficult is conversion?

Yes. Get a job, apply h4->h1 conversion, request employer to start gc, once labor and i 140 is approved, apply h1b extension.
