My H1 amendment for a new work location filed in May this year, has been denied after hitting an RFE (reason - wage level 1 - speciality occupation). The reason for denial is still awaited. Meanwhile my project just concluded and I was about to move back to my previous client location. I still have a valid i797 and i94 (valid until Sep 2018) . What are my options now ? Should I exit the country or can I return to my previous location and work ?

Please advice.

thank you

Since you have a valid I-94, you will get 60 days grace period from the day you receive the hard copy of your denial notice. You can try to find another employer that could file a H1B or look for a status change such as F1..
